Here are examples of “casual social challenges” from existing creators across channels. Remember
- social — means the challenge is intended to be viewed by an online audience and that multiple people can participate as competitors.
- casual — means that the challenge is accessible to anyone with the relevant skills and the flmflm app, but nothing else. For example, a special license, educational degree, or technical, artistic, or athletic certification is not required to compete in a flmflm challenge.
Restrictions
Challenges must conform to some important restrictions
- the challenge must not ask the competitor to perform any violent acts, neither toward others nor toward themselves.
- the challenge cannot ask the competitor to perform any sexual acts with a minor
- the challenge cannot ask the competitor to perform any acts that would break local laws where they perform the act
- the challenge must be skilled base, that is the competitor must be able to substantially impact the chance they win the challenge due to the talent and skills they possess. So called “games of chance” or gambling is not allowed.
Challenges failing to respect these restrictions may be removed and any submissions will be refunded.
Challenge Categories
We envision a wide variety of challenges falling into five broad categories. We’ll give you some prompts to give you an idea, just fill in the blank like its a madlib
Open mic
You may not be as good enough to earn a billion views, but the implication that your ten views means you are a million times worse is false. flmflm gives unsung talents a realistic chance at monetization on account of their merit, not just their popularity. Examples
- best acoustic musical performance using ______ (musical instrument)
- best 60 second stand up comedy routine where the punchline is the phrase _____ (topical phrase)
- collaborative: best 60 second dance cover of my song ____ (your song name and author)
Niche
That your passion is only shared by a small group shouldn’t mean it can’t find monetary support. That’s where flmflm comes in.
- show off step by step how you made ______ (art or craft)
